FOSSIL HUNTING

320 - 245 million years ago Kansas used to be covered by a large landlocked sea. Amazingly, there are local state parks where the marine fossils are visible!

If you look carefully in this picture you can see a Connulariid stem. 

The kids get so excited hunting for these signs of life from millions of years ago.
