Yard Dinosaurs
Exceptional Achievement
We have a flock of Veloci-Chickens! Like Velociraptors. But they're nothing like the dinosaurs they are named after. They are a gentle assortment of regular domestic chickens. The kids love them. They are fabulous bug and weed control and the kids enjoy collecting the eggs.
We serve a spectrum of kids. Some of our kids have been on one type of spectrum or another. The kids have tended to the chickens for the last 3 months. In that time we have seen a positive shift in the kids. The chickens are teachers too. They have taught the kids pivotal skills. Because of the feathered instructors, the kids have learned how to be calm and kind around the chickens.
